Mechanical Design Engineer

We are assisting one of our clients in the Engineering Industry to fill the following position.

Mechanical Design Engineer

■ Status
Full-time (Permanent with Probation)

■ Location
Miyagi Prefecture/Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan

■ Mandatory Requirements
1. Proficiency in design, modeling, and drafting skills.
2. 5-8 years of working experience in the automotive, semiconductor, or mechanical engineering industries.
3. At least 2 years of practical experience in 2D CAD design and creation.
4. Experience in not only routine tasks but also process improvement and functional enhancement activities.
5. Native-level proficiency in Japanese or a Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) score of N2 or higher.

■ Preferred Requirements
1. Practical experience with 3D CAD operations (creating 3D models).
2. Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering (e.g., heat, materials, fluid dynamics, and mechanical dynamics).
3. Simulation analysis skills (e.g., strength and structural analysis).
4. Experience in testing and executing/validating the devices designed.
5. Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

■ Job Description
- Design and drafting of mechanical components for dry etching equipment's process chamber and related units.
- Mechanical development design tasks, investigation and analysis of equipment functionality improvements, formulation and design of product evaluations, experimentation, troubleshooting, creation of BOM (Bill of Materials), and support for document creation.
